چکیده

Abstract Insecticides applications are one of the components to control brown planthoppers pest that applied in large scale by farmers. In field, some farmers mix different active ingredients insecticides planthoppers. This study was aimed find out efficacy mixed plant hoppers and effect on natural enemies field. The research carried Pemalang Regency, Central Java, 2016/2017 rice planting season. There were eleven treatments with three replications 5x8 m2 plots using randomized completed block design. Two successive sprays selected sprayer at 14 days interval. Pymetrozine 480 + Imidacloprid 160 (150+50), (75+25), 185 Buprofezin 240 (150+194,59), (75+97,3), Fipronil 40 (100+16,67) effectively controlled population planthopper as follows 96.78%; 94.27%; 96.45%; 96.71%; 94.01%. mixtures tested did not affect such spiders, Paederus , C. lividipennis .

Sublethal effects of four insecticides on the reproduction and wing formation of brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens.

BACKGROUND The brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens Stål, is a major rice pest in many parts of Asia. Neonicotinoids such as imidacloprid and dinotefuran are widely used for control of this pest, and resistance to these insecticides has developed in recent years. This pest has also been widely exposed to triazophos and fenvalerate, although these insecticides are not used for the control...

Glutathione S-Transferase of Brown Planthoppers (Nilaparvata lugens) Is Essential for Their Adaptation to Gramine-Containing Host Plants

Plants have evolved complex processes to ward off attacks by insects. In parallel, insects have evolved mechanisms to thwart these plant defenses. To gain insight into mechanisms that mediate this arms race between plants and herbivorous insects, we investigated the interactions between gramine, a toxin synthesized by plants of the family Gramineae, and glutathione S transferase (GST), an enzym...

Transcriptome Analysis of the Brown Planthopper Nilaparvata lugens

BACKGROUND The brown planthopper (BPH) Nilaparvata lugens (Stål) is one of the most serious insect pests of rice in Asia. However, little is known about the mechanisms responsible for the development, wing dimorphism and sex difference in this species. Genomic information for BPH is currently unavailable, and, therefore, transcriptome and expression profiling data for this species are needed as...

Effects of nitrogen on the tolerance of brown planthopper, Nilaparvata Lugens, to adverse environmental factors

The effect of nitrogen content in rice plants on the tolerance of brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens Stål to high temperature, starvation and insecticide, was studied in the laboratory at International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines. Survival of nymphs and adults, fecundity and egg hatchability were significantly increased by the increase of nitrogen content in host plants...

A reovirus in the brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens.

A new virus, belonging to the reovirus group, was found in an apparently healthy colony of the brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens, and was referred to as the Nilaparvata lugens reovirus (NLRV). The virus was found in the cytoplasm of the insect cells, sometimes associated with tubular structures, which is one of the characteristic features in tissues infected with reoviruses. The virus was p...
